Real Time monitoring of precipitation is best performed using the Radar Imagery.
The Radisson radar covers central Saskatchewan (near Saskatoon) while the Bethune
Radar covers southern Saskatchewan. You can download the Google Earth KMZ file
which will give you a single image covering the entire praries which will update
every 10 minutes. The is particularly useful if you have trouble referencing the
geography and/or townsites on the single-radar imagery.
Forecast charts from the GEM Regional Model (0 - 48 hours) and Global Model (up to
5 days) will be found under the Model Output by selecting VIZAWEB. There are many
charts available from standard upper air patterns to clouds and precipitation.
Text for the public weather forecasts from Environment Canada are under Forecasts / Warnings.
The extended forecasts cover days 3 - 5.
Graphical Based access to warnings can be found under either the Surface Observations from the
University of Manitoba, or in the Forecasts / Warning section from the Environment Canada Warning
page. Text access to the latest Saskatchewan warning bulletins (FP13) are also provided but be aware
that the "latest" warning could be old. ALWAYS check the date/time of the warning messages
